The trip is an important part of ChallengeBus. The trip takes you somewhere. But though you might visit some great places, the trip inside the bus will be more important than the trip outside.
Right after the departure of the bus, we will start with a round of introductions. Not everyone might know everyone else on the bus. In two minute pitches, participants will need to introduce themselves and their qualities to the participants on the bus. When everyone has had their turn, it is time to present the pitches for products and services that people want to see realized. It might be that we have determined these pitches beforehand or that we have triggered people to prepare ideas. After the pitches it is time to assemble the teams based on passions, interests and expertise.
This is the part where ChallengeBus really starts rolling. As the teams get on their way, they will get specific challenges to work towards within set timeframes. They will need to get practical as soon as possible, building their services or products as soon as possible. Because 72 hours is a short time to create a product, its business plans and its promotional materials.
The route of the trip will be related to the goals set by your organization. Stops might be at sister companies or at inspiring landmarks or events. At these stops the participants will be challenged with specific assignments that will need to be concluded successfully within a set timeframe. That might be pitching, doing market research or something different from that.
The teams will be working along the guidelines of their milestones. That allows us to match parts of the trip with phases in the projects. It is also possible to relate those phases to different subjects, for which experts can get onto the bus and travel along for a couple of hours. They will be there to support all the teams with the questions they have.
